Program Information
Volunteer Program
DCTMI connects community members with Two Rivers PCS to support in-school and after-school tutoring needs and other volunteer opportunities. Spend as little as 30 minutes a week or as much as you can tutoring Math, English Language Arts (ELA) or STEM and book club activities, supporting arrival and dismissal, the bi-annual book fair, and more!
Two Rivers PCS has 3 campuses – currently, the Middle School Campus (830 26th St NE) has a high need for volunteers for their daytime STEM sessions, their book club, as well as targeted Math and English Language Arts sessions.

Subject & Other Areas of Support
Volunteers can get involved in the following ways at the 4th St Campus (1227 4th St NE), Young Campus (820 26th St NE), and Middle School Campus (830 26th St NE):
- Daytime support with Math, English Language Arts (ELA), STEM activities, and book club activities
- After-school Math and English Language Arts (ELA) tutoring
- Arrival/dismissal support
- Updating bulletin boards (once a month)
- Weekly Community Meeting support
- One-time event support (see the ‘Dates’ section)
Dates
Volunteers are accepted on a rolling basis once the background check process is complete (see below). Your application is much anticipated! Two Rivers operates according to their 2025-26 Academic Year Calendar here.
Two Rivers PCS is also seeking one-time volunteers to support with:
- Quarterly Perfect Attendance Celebration
- 2025 Fall Book Fair (Nov. 10 through Nov. 14)
- 2026 Spring Book Fair (Mar. 30 through April 4)
- 5th grade 2026 Promotion Ceremony (June 11 & 12)
Application Process
To schedule an appointment, use the MPD Appointment Scheduler portal.
- Click on “Fingerprinting”
- Click on “Appointments” under Schedule an Appointment
- Under Service, select “Fingerprints – Charter School”

Please note:
- There is a $42.00 cost is associated with obtaining a background check.
- On the date of your appointment, bring with you a photo ID.
- Enter your contact information into this form. Once complete, Two Rivers will enter your information into HireRight’s system.
- You will receive an email from HireRight (noreply@hireright.com) with a login link to complete the background check process.
